What is Milia?

Milia are small, firm, white cysts that form just beneath the surface of the skin. Unlike acne, they are not caused by oil or bacteria, which is why they don’t respond to typical skincare or exfoliation.

They commonly appear around the:

…and can linger for months (or even years) without proper treatment.

I had an amazing experience! The booking process was helpful in explaining the services and what is included in them. Olivia Mills did a wonderful job making my skin less clogged, more hydrated, and refreshed. I loved all the products that were used, my skin has never looked or felt better. She gave me several personalized tips to maintain healthy skin at home which I am loving. I have struggled with acne for a very long time and I finally feel better about my skin thanks to Olivia! So happy I found Balance!! Dr. Scileppi and Janie are both so knowledgeable and skilled at what they do and make a great team! I got tox/touch up lip filler with Dr. Scileppi and he was able to address the exact concerns I had with shape and symmetry of my lips. They offer half syringes of filler also which is so nice when you’re on a budget and wanting a touch up! Honestly all of their pricing is super fair and the specials they have are really great. I’m nearing my mid 30s and have been wanting to address my skin concerns for years now (acne scarring etc.) and I’m so glad I found Janie! She did a full work up of my skin with tech that takes super high-res photos to give you a more objective approach of what skin concerns you want to address and we made a plan with PRF and PDO Thread microneedling and a laser treatment! I’ve done the PRF so far and I really appreciated how well Janie numbed my face before because I barely felt a thing and I’m so excited to see the results, my skin’s already healing and looking more even! It’s such a cute and cozy space too and Mikayla at the front desk is so sweet and helpful. Thank you guys so much, yall are awesome 💗💗

Had a great experience at Balance Aesthetics yesterday with Dr. Bobby and Janie. Using a Lumenis ResurFX erbium laser they resurfaced my skin 👏🏻. I was comfortable and well-cared for during the entire procedure. They were patient and meticulously worked to give me the best results. Slept well last night and looking forward to the final rested results in a few days.

Dr. Bobby & Janie are amazing! Their attention to detail in taking time with me to review history and focus on how best to serve me in skin care was thoughtful and intentional. I initially went in for IPL (which they did spot treat). However, Balance Aesthetics was the first medical spa to really acknowledge the best way to treat my melasma…recommending a different option for all over treatment that would produce better results.
I feel like I learned so much about my skin during the process! 10/10 experience!

It's been one week since my Diamond Glow Facial with Janie and my face looks better than it has in years. I am a regular Tretinoin user, but never felt like it was creating significant change. After my Diamond Glow Facial, my skin feels clean and smooth. After the facial, I experienced very little, if any, redness. Over the next two days, I had very minimal peeling. Now, one week later, I am ecstatic with the results. Janie is warm, friendly, and professional and the spa is clean, bright, and in a great location. I will definitely go back!

Such a great combination when a meticulous artistic eye is combined with a physician's skill.

I have also worked in an aesthetics spa in the past providing other services as well as undergoing various aesthetic services/treatments but Dr. Scileppi is the ONLY provider whom has ever paid close attention to me discussing anatomical changes on my left forehead because of a long scar after a MOHs surgery years ago. He accounts for it when placing my botox and I couldn't be more ecstatic with the results! Always refreshed in appearance and never "frozen."
