Our Story

Some stories are meant to be, and ours is no exception. What began as a chance encounter between two strangers has blossomed into a powerful business partnership, rooted in shared values, passion, and a little bit of fate.

It all started with a summer injury. Janie’s son, visiting from law school, found himself in need of urgent care after a mishap while offshore fishing. After a long wait at one emergency room, he decided to try another—and that’s where he met Dr. Bobby Scileppi. As Dr. Scileppi treated the injury, a conversation sparked between them. And that’s when he learned that Janie had successfully built and sold her own med spa to a private equity group back in January 2023.

Intrigued by their shared experiences in the med spa world, Dr. Scileppi asked to meet Janie. They met for breakfast, and what started as a casual chat quickly turned into an exciting exchange of stories, ideas, and aspirations. Breakfasts soon turned into dinners at Janie’s home with her husband Derrick, and through countless conversations, a spark was ignited. Their shared vision for the future of aesthetics and wellness was undeniable. With Dr. Scileppi already serving clients at Balance for nearly a year and eager to expand, he had found a kindred spirit in Janie.

And so, a partnership was born. What began as a serendipitous meeting has evolved into a thriving vision, fueled by a deep commitment to providing innovative, results-driven care for every client. Both Dr. Scileppi and Janie are passionate about the transformative power of aesthetics, and they’ve dedicated themselves to creating a space where clients not only look their best, but feel their best, too.

Dr. Robert Scileppi embodies perfection, a compliment I do not offer lightly. Perfection is a quality reserved for those devoid of any flaws or imperfections. Dr. Scileppi has genuinely surpassed my expectations. He is not just a physician; he is an artist who has honed his craft to perfection. As I approach 50 years of age and being quite budget-conscious (ok extremely frugal), I made the decision in 2008 to forgo maintenance treatments like Botox or fillers in favor of a facelift. I had a facelift and rhinoplasty scheduled for December 2025, but I canceled that appointment today. I intend to continue consulting with Dr. Scileppi for at least the next few years. Furthermore, I should note that in 2008, I received two syringes of lip filler for $2000. Dr. Scileppi advised that I only required one syringe, costing $700. My lips in 2008 were at best a 4.5, while my lips in 2025 are a perfect 10++++! Do not hesitate; run to Balance Aesthetics. You can express your gratitude later, and you are most welcome.

10/10 would recommend! I got the Classic European facial with Olivia and it was the most relaxing and refreshing experience! The environment and staff were warm and welcoming as well!!
